Max HP a 496 Gen I Cool Fuel system can support

What is the maximum HP that a 496 Gen I Cool Fuel system can support?

I dont know that there is a text book answer on this, but I would estimate it at about 525-550 non supercharged Hp.. For example if you reused it with a raylar kit & exhaust kit you would be ok. However you may benefit from a ecm remap & using an adjustable fuel psi regulator.. ;)

Thanks Jamie.

I am more in the NA 600hp range. I do have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I will eventually have the ECU remaped but I need to breakin the engine refresh at a safe A/F by fuel pressure adjustment only and want to know what my 2004 Cool Fuel system is capable of. Besides the refresh there are several new increased HP engine mods as well. I already had to crank up fuel pressure to 64 psi just during the initial 15 min run at idle. Not sure what the other rpm ranges may require so looking for what the system can handle.

No problem.. You may want to also entertain a aeromotive pump set up along with upgrading the injectors for that kind of power.

I have already spent enough this winter so I would rather not unless it is necessary. I quess that is why I am asking what the stock system can handle.

Thanks
