Plug Gap NGK
 

I have 540's with V-Power 7 Plugs. I make about 675HP. I have MSD Ignition. They are Dart Blocks with AFR 315 CNC aluminum heads. What should I set the gap at .035"??????? Somone should know. Thanks in advance. Plugs still look good, but I would like to put in new ones.

I gap mine @ 40 w/MSD ignition. Same plugs.

I gap mine at .40 and feel I have no problems with up to 10 lbs of boost. The wider the gap the bigger the spark, but also the bigger load on wire, and msd system, with greater chance of not firing at all.

I wonder if msg and nkg are just trying to cover their butts by being on the safe side?

I cant say, supposedly they took into account compression ratio, head type, material and max rpm.

I'm guessing that .033-.035 is safe range for most NA motors. I think they call for smaller gap on blower motors
