Just make sure it is copper colored!

Thay had a bad batch of cores back in 2002-2004. (and they were black colored)

Shouldn't be a problem now.

As far as I know, yes. If it's black....send it back!

I was told by the technical department after I installed and ran the “black” camshaft, induction hardened 8150, that this particular camshaft was not as strong as the “copper colored” oil quench 8620 cam for marine application. I was also told that Crane had experienced some failures in the marine environment.

If you call Bob Madara you won't have to go through all of this kind of stuff. He's at least worth a phone call.

Crane Cam 168741

I have two slightly used ones. I am moving to a larger cam. These are perfect and run for 2 seasons. Call me if interested.

Trying to find a new one.
I found a 139021 but that is for a Gen 4 and can't use cam retainer and stock cover.
Called Crane and they said they don't even have a time frame as when they will have more.
I tried Summit(they said end of June thru Crane) and Jegs no luck.
Might even consider a used one.
Thanks for any help.
