buffing wax brands and buffer style

What type of buffer should i use and what brand of wax? I currently have a orbital and a rotary buffers. Just wondering what works best on gel coat?.

is the gel faded ?? if so the the 3M restorer/wax with a regular buffer, not a waxer is great stuff, if gel looks good and just waxing I use reg mequires cleaner/wax (auto) on my boats and works great @ 6.00 a bottle...Rob

Dewalt buffer model DW849
Strata Ultra Cutting Creme
Race Glaze Wax

Use velcro wool pads for the compound and a velcro foam pad for the wax . Can't go wrong it will last you a long time plus this stuff only needs one coating for the season. Great products and you don't need to worry about the sun ba\king it on.

Marine wax

Marine wax is the only way to go. Formulated for submergence, and lasts longer than auto wax, which is designed for clear coat, not gel. Any brand is fine, it will last a couple months at least.

Not to mention, you will pick up noticeable speed and efficiency as well! And, it will make less of a waterline on the boat in dirty water....:cool-smiley-027:
