what temp should the oil be on my 1994,502mpi mag?i am seeing around 240.if i run it hard it can climb to 250.too high?oil cooler clean,block clean,new water pumps.at what temp does oil start to break down?thanks

Sounds perfect. Hot enough to cook off moisture but not by much. You should be using a high-quality synthetic that will give you protection to well over 300 anyway.
