Alarm on 496HO'S
 

Ok,
So I put the boat in Sat.
Started it and get an alrm about every 3 to 4 minutes. All gauges show good. All fluids are new and show good on sticks. Outdrive bottles full. New water seperators, new impellors, motors only have 51 hours.
Took it out and if I get on it the alarm goes on steady until I back off then only goes on every 3 minutes for a couple of seconds. All gauges show good even when I'm on it.
Any sugestions?

Oh yea,
It is on starboard motor. Ran on each motor and alarm only comes on when stbd is lit.

Low beer in the cooler alert ???

You may be on to something there.

Get back to your hole....... and your foundation too.

A soft alarm that turns into a hard alarm (but doesn't show on the gauge) is most likely an exhaust manifold overtemp. If you have an infrared temp gun you should check manifold and elbow temps.

Not a hole anymore...all backfilled and radiant tubing and bath plumbing being installed this week. Floors poured by monday and framing by wednesday of next week. Im catching you quick !!!!:p:p:p
