I actually need to get a weigh slip to drop the registration weight. The dealer registered it at 18,000#, I figure its under 14,000# or near it. So I'll kill 2 birds with one stone.

Curious to know what NYSDMV is charging you for an 18K reg?

Don't know about your state but here we weigh the trailer only. That way you pay for a tag on a much lighter weight.

I re-carpeted the bunks, replaced the hardware, and moved them back. Keeps the balance the same. As I said the trailer tows very nicely. I moved the port bunk 6" back, about 1" past the transom, and the starboard side back 4", almost to the transom but 1" ahead of breaking off the speedo pitot. Put the boat back on it about an hour ago, everything worked perfectly.

always nice to have an ''easy entry'' trailer... bunks well placed makes a big difference!
