Water in Oil
 

Went out for a 20 min. run the other day, and got back on shore, and changed oil... it wasn't milkshake white, but there was water in it. I pulled the spark plugs, and the back 3 cylinders on the right side of the boat had small drops of clean water on them. Would this be an intake gasket leak? Or any other ideas?
This is a brand new 572 with dyno time, and maybe one hour on water. Also, the oil cap on the valve cover had some cream in it.

Could have too low of oil temp and you didn't run it long enough to burn off condensation and get the oil temp up.

Could have some reversion.

Could be a bad intake gasket, but more likely one of the above.

once the oil has water in it can you actually get it hot enough to burn out the moister so the oil looks neww again?

also would all 3 of these scenerios leave the water on the plugs?

My feelings are ..... If the oil has water in it, it needs to be changed. Filter too.

First thing you need to do Monday AM is call the engine builder and ask him how you should proceed. Do not run the engine any more until you talk to him. It might be a minor problem, but if it is indeed getting water in the oil, the cause needs to be found before the engine is run another second.

thanks BillK I changed the oil and fillter right away and have not even turned the motor over yet
