Jr. Each of the oils are about equal from what I have seen in each category. I. Super Premium Synthetic oils: Mobil-1 20w-50 V-Twin Amsoil Series 2000 20W-50 Redline 20W-50 II. Premium Synthetic Oils: AROQT-EA Amsoil 20W-50 Mobil-1 15W-50 Silver Cap Royal Purple 20W-50 Valvoline 20W-50 Racing Syn III. Premium Semi-Syn: Mercury 25W-40 IV. Premium Conventional: Valvoline Racing 20W-50 or 40wt Mercury 25W-40 My.02 |

FYI
The Series 2000 Amsoil 0W-30 has a ton of ZDDP and very high base content. It is what you want in your towing rigs I believe. Supposedly the Secret Service uses it in their vehicles I had read a while back. M-1 10W-40 Motorcycle oil (mxt4) is also great for trucks during the summer....but I would not use it in a marine application...a bit too low in grade. |
