496 Alarm going off
 

I have twin 496 Mags. Yesterday the alarm was going off but all gauges were reading correct. I do not have a water pressure gauge. All fluids were full. The one thing I did notice is that the Port side motor port header was hot and the other three were cool to the touch. There was water coming out of all exhaust tips. This would happen when getting on plain or well on plain at apox 3500 RPM's. Scratching my head on this one. Looking for some help.

The only alarm I get is drive oil low. Sorry for such an obvious one to check but somehow it gets me once a year.

Scan it with a scan tool or you and everybody else will be scratching there heads too for answers.

Check with a scan tool. Probably an IAC or water pressure sensor. No way to tell without a scan. How many hours. The IAC seems to be about 150 to 250 hours and water pressure sensor is random.

I did scan it and think I found the problem. Port mort port header running hot. Found some blockage and getting it all cleaned out and should be good to go.
