Holley 800cfm rebuild kit?
Where can I get a rebuild kit for my Holley 800?
It's the stock carb on one of my 1996 500 HP's. Thanks. |
Anyone?????

Whats bad in it???? You should just be able to take the old gaskets into an auto shop and match them. All the parts are available separately. I have always juut bought what I needed separately.

I am not really sure what is bad in it.
I had a problem with some water in my fuel so I was told it may have clogged the carb in some way. The boat ran fine last time out and now, 2 weeks later, the starb motor won't start.... I am playing the guessing game basically. I am going to switch carbs on my first day off and see if this is the problem....if not then it's back to the drawing board.... |

If its just clogged with some debris, you will only need the gaskets and replace the PV for good measure.
That should not make it not start at all though. It should at least start and maybe run rough. I'm guessing your plugs could be fouled. I have had water in my fuel and that will make it not start once the water sep filter fills up. Dump the filter into a clear glass and check for separation. Water will be on the bottom. If there is water refill the filter with fuel and reinstall. I would try that first and then check the spark plugs, before I would switch carbs. |
Two cans of carb cleaner, a complete rebuild kit, and alot of patience
I just went through this I was one day away from blowing $500 for a new carb I was so frustrated Found the smallest piece of crud behind the float, under the seat that i had not gotten blown out on the prior four tear downs last week Amazing how bad things work with just a tiny piece of crap hiding somewhere |
