used prop ??
I just bought a used prop ansd was wondering if anyone can fill me in about it. heres the info = mirage plus 23 with no vent holes #48-13704 a45 23p it also says bronson propellers inc. on it it looks like the leading edge its sharper than the prop I have now,
TRACKING # FROM THE PROP SHOP THAT REPAIRED THE PROP.
SOMETIMES THICKNESS IS LOST DURING REPAIR PERHAPS THE BLADES HAVE BEEM THINNED FOR PERFORMANCE DOES IT HAVE A LAB FINISH? ARE ALL THE BLADES CONSISTANT WITH THE THINNING? IF THEY ARE NOT AND YOU RUN HARD AND HIGH RPM PERHAPS RESEND TO REPUTABLE SHOP FOR RESPEC AND BALANCE CHECK. |
I'd contact Bronson Propellers and ask them if they have any info on it.
Are there any other numbers on it? Maybe a serial number? If so, Bronson may have record of it. |
Can I ask where you got the prop from? Is there a slight nick in one of the trailing edges of a blade?
there is a very small nick in the leading edge I mean very small I got it of ebay, all the edges have the same thickness to them
whats bronson hills phone # do they have a web site?
is taht bronson or chad hill propellers? I know there are to and theya re serpate and unrelated and one is very good and the other has had a few complaints.
For a moment I was thinking that it was a prop that I had traded in, but I kinda doubt it.

syringa,
Im going to try this on my 99 20'wellcraft excalibur with a 7.4mpi and bravo 1 the prop I have on it now is a mirage plus 48-13702 21p. Im putting a thru hull exhaust on it now and wanted to take advaantage of the rpms. is there any problems with switching these props? |
crmax>. Should be no problem at all. If you don't already know of it Hill propellers has a great speed/slip calculator. at www.hillpropellers.com. just first put in good known numbers from your setup and try different variables. If you haven't done it before the results may surprise you
if I get those results Ill be very happy
