I have a garmen 492 and the guy at west marine said If I bought the garmin depth sounder/temperature sender that I could just cut the plug off the sounder and wire it into my 492. The tech at Garmin says I can't and now that I cut the plug its junk? does anyone know where the 4 wires that are in the wire cable go to, or how to just wire it into my gaffrig depth finder guage, it only has 2 prongs on the guage. (MY factory sounder went bad)
