1996 7.4 carb. ignition timing
 

I need the procedure on timing.

nothing hi-tech here, should have a 20 or 24 deg. module, just set base timing at 8 deg. and check the max timing, should be you 8 deg plus what ever the module is. should run good between 32 and 36 deg. max advance. make sure you check your max adv. with engine at 3000rpm or a little higher.

I was told that i have to ground out a purple wire with a white tracer.
If i need to make any adjustments. Is that so ?

thats not needed with your set up, just set it.
