No problem Warren...Good luck this season and the boat looks great.

From what I have read (ive looked in to them myself, $$ problem, imagine that:rolleyes: ) they seem to work well on hulls that like a lot of positive trim, in other words (I think) a consevative X dimension, have you checked Land and Sea's website?.......Doug

I had a SternJack on my last boat (18' Python Vyper - like an 18' Donzi Classic). I picked up a few miles an hour, but the investment was totally justified by the great improvement in handling and stability at all speeds. Full throttle and trim used to be extremely tricky to drive. With the SternJack it was practically driving with just two fingers. After installing a 383 stroker motor and Alpha SS drive I was running about 80 and the stability was even more appreciated.

kchotboat,
You have a Imco box for sale ? Which is it a neutral or a 2-3" lift ? What comes with it ? If the price is right I could be interested. |
Imco box?
Am looking for 2 of them (+3's) |
Could some provide a little more detail on the differences between a the sternjack and a standoff box? Other than one mounts after the outdrive gimbal housing and the other before it.
|
From what I understand is the stand off box uses the transom to leverage from and the Stern jack uses the gimbal ring.
With a stand off box you will need full hydralic steering because the steering arm is eliminated. |
