Carbed 2.5's on nitrous oxide turning 8800 rpm. Had over 240 hours on the engines before selling. Never an oil related problem, very clean, and smells great too! Downside... expen$ive. |

I had a performance Merc outboard long time ago- tried a lot of different oils. Liked Amsoil the best. Once I discovered it, I never used anything else.

Harry Personally, I run the Klotz R-50 in my 260, however I may be switching to the Alisyn ProPower, which is also a 100% synthetic and is an excellent product. the only oil i used on my oil injected 300x's was the Merc Premium plus

Mercury's Performance Blend oil is tough to beat, excellent flim strength an very clean burning.
