braided oil lines
 
getting to plumbing my remote oil filter and cooler and my machine shop guy said the steel braided line and the russel type fittings would not hold up with 60-80 psi oil pressure..never heard of this, anybody run the lines you do yourself or do I need to get something else ? thanks Rob

They will be fine. They are good to over 300psi.

Manufactured using Aerospace rigid mandrel technology and you will be more than okay!

Some have a Teflon liner and can get out to 3,000 psi.

No problem on those fittings. The plain-Jane goodyear 5/8" rubber airlines we use are rated to 333 PSI. It's less the ends and more the termination. Barb fittings and hose clamps are the weak link.

On oil lines- go as big as you can- or bigger. Never use 45's or 90's. Always use a sweep elbow.

and unless you HAVE to have the shiny stainless lines, the hoses like chris is describing are a much better deal in the sense that they are about a 1/5 the cost , wont cut you every time you touch them and won't saw thru everything they happen to lean against. all the parker pushlok stuff will perform for this same sort of thing and the crimped ends as well.

I'm A Earls Dealer In Detroit.our Braided Line In Size #8 Is Rated At 1500psi And Size #10 At 1250psi.
