Alternator?

Does any one know a website for cross referencing a Nippondenso part number to something I might be able to afford, My 1996 250HP 3.0litre outboards use a belt drive alternator(I believe it is the same one used on the newer 2.5's also) Mercury part number 821663A 1
Mercurys price is $495.10
Seems steep to me any one have any ideas?
Thanks,
Caleb

If you have a Precision Alternator and Starter near you-they may be able to rebuild the one's you have at a reasonable price-they did my I/O alt and starter using my parts to maintain CG cert.

Somebody please help me, a local rebuild shop says it's to far gone to rebuild, NAPA sells one for $390.
Seems awful steep for an alternator, please anyone??????
Thanks,
Caleb
