How important are coolers?
Just as the title reads. Say 502 with a 10/71 or 12/71 with low boost. Not racing ..... just farting around a lake with occassional blasts in the bay. Is it absolutely necessary to run the chillers for motor longevity or are they run strictly for more power?

I am gonna leave them alone for now, but I want to start getting parts together for this winters transformation. |

hahahaha. True. But I am a die hard gear head and have to have projects to keep me busy and I love blower motors.... i just dont want to have to put scoops on it and with chillers a scoop would be a neccesity.
Anyone run these big blowers without chillers? |
