Thanks again Bob!

I had another thought........

Does anyone see a problem with blocking off the exhaust cooling water feed on the port side of the heat exchanger, installing a "T" on the starboard side and running a hose back to the port side. Wouldn't this send all of the sea water through the heat exchanger before it went to the port header? I guess you could even tap the starboard side heat exchanger end cap for a 1" hose fitting if the single existing fitting reduced volume too much?

Sorry for drawing this out so far, I just can't leave some things alone that may improve efficiency.

Not trying to sell anything but I have a Dual Water Pickup lower complete in need of one bearing with about 30 hours on it. Investigate all other possibilities before going to a DWP or LWP. Seaweeds, sand etc. depending upon where you boat. That is why mine is in a box on the garage floor taking up space for my coolers. The DWP is a little more forgiving than a LWP but I prefer the SWP.
