What are the advantages and disadvantages of a Coast Guard documented boat in TN.

Well.......... if the coast guard pulls you over you're good! TWRA doesn't care. Your ins. might go down.

not sure of the taxes in tenn but when you document a boat the state you have it in does not know you own a boat or a locallity either, in va when you register they ask where you keep it and where you use it....so you can be taxed, hope that helps..Rob
