Carb float level adjustment

Should the floats be adjusted on the trailer or in the water?

Thanks

I would think in the water.

In the water or with the trailer/boat sitting at the same angle on a slope just as it would be in the water.

Actually it doesn't matter....

Just make sure you adjust them the same way each time, and that there isn't any fuel dripping out of the boosters when the engine is idling.

The reason it doesn't make any difference is that you need to ADJUST them for your specific combination. There is not a one setting is perfect for every boat. So you start with a setting, and adjust it until you get the results you're looking for.

from a safety point of view I would recommend on the trailer and hose with trailer jacked up to reflect typical attitude in the water.
