Anyone running Diamond Performance Tabs? (= K-Plane)
I've heard great improvements in rough-water handling on the Formula 292 can be made by swapping 280S K-Planes in place of the 12x12 Bennet trim tabs.
In the OSO classifieds I see a set of non-Mercury K-Planes from Diamond Performance, and they are significantly less $$, at least compared to the kit prices I've seen on line. http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o20835-en.html Has anyone installed these? Looking for any feedback on quality, comparisons to the Merc Racing assembly, etc. Also, if you've purchased K-Planes as an addition to your boat, what did you end up spending, including install? Thanks. |
TTT: C'mon, nobody is running anything except the Merc Racing K-Planes?
K-Planes are probably gonna be a $3-5K investment (with installation), so if anyone has experience with Trick Marine or Diamond K-Planes, please speak up. TIA |
diamond tabs
Im new at this but i installed them this year on my 24 baja what a differance and i think they look the same as mine and mine are Eddie Marine. they respond very quick and just a touch and the boat feels like a different boat, really changed my plaining time I put them down throtel up and raise them boat pops right up instead of sitting there falling in the hole the prop is making.
