I don't think I understand. I've evaluated around 100 marine engines in the last two years and the only time I've seen sodium numbers anywhere near that level is when the engine has chronic (salt) water ingestion issues. Normally, a healthy engine wil have single digits of sodium.

The additive goes into 16 qts of oil so the sodium is diluted out.

Sodium keeps particles suspended rather than in contact with other matal surfaces.

Sodium is NA+ so it attracts iron which is Fe-
