I use it in everything. Dirt bike, motorcycle, cars trucks, ect. Makes motorcycle transmissions shift better, and holds up as well as 10 dollar a quart specialty oils.

An outstanding oil.

I buy it at Sams in 55 gallon drum. Also use it in everything. Even in CNC machines at the shop.

Is this test done on the latest formula of Rotella T? I thought they lowered the zddp levels when the switched to the new bottles and the "triple protection".

HASN'T BEEN REFORMULATED SINCE 1968!! Seems there has been some new technology since then, or maybe I'm wrong.

I emailed them earlier this summer and they actually emailed right back. it does have somewhat less now but still very high. This was on 5/08. I use it in one of my engines. Merc in the other. testing testing

Tom,

Shell Rotella T Multigrade Oil SAE 15W-40 currently contains about 1200 ppm zinc. That's about the same amount as API SJ-rated oils had 8 or so years ago.
