broken spark plug
 
How can i get a broken spark plug out. The threaded part is still in the head.The nut part sheard right off.

Hate to say it but if the nut is trashed that sucker is siezed and really stuck in there. You have nothing left to do but pull the head.

Soak it down with pb blaster, see if you can get the porcelin broken out, use a ez out to get into the center and try that, I have used that and has worked for me..Rob

tough one???? if you can get a drill straight in I'd try that first before pulling the head. hopefully it was a defective plug and not siezed in the head. good luck

Let me guess...Champion plugs? I have had it happen to me twice in cars with Champions. I did what ezstriper said and it worked both times.

If any thing falls in the combustion chamber while you're drilling, pull the head off and clean it out. A small piece can cause a lot of damage.

As stated ezstripper his method or try using fast heat from a cutting torch for 20 seconds then drive in the easy out( use the style that looks like a reverse thick cork screw)with a hammer, not too hard and you will get it out. I have done at least 50 plugs and none have beaten me.:angry-smiley-038:
