What is the maintenance intervals on these motors? When do the blowers and motors need to be gone through and what is the cost of it?

Depending what year the engines are for the blowers..... they were switched after 02 and the newer style (they have a W on the front cover) had a sealed rear bearing (no oil just grease from factory) that needs to be checked often........older style has a oil bath in front and rear and still need to have oil checked every few hrs.... do a search on OSO for 575sci and quite a few good threads come up on this topic. As far as price it cost me about $700 per blower........I will be rebuilding my engines this winter at 300 hrs........it is said here on OSO that these motors are good for longer then that if well maintained but I am the second owner (150 hrs when I got the boat)and feel safer going through them during winter instead of having a problem in Summer.

Johnny...I think you mean the old style blower have a W for Weiand...not the late model. The Weiands are better but not by much.

What fuel do these run on 89 or 92 or?

I only run 93......but I think 92 is OK........

The ones I am looking at are in a 2003 boat, are the old one better or the new ones? Which ones the grease or oil is better?

I prefer the front and rear oil bath because if you change the oil at the recommended intervals you can get the maximum life out of the bearings....... Now I am no expert so maby some one else has a different opinion...... and if I am not mistaken the newer style is the one with grease in the rear.......older style has oil in both......
