Did you ever get yours put back together?

Nope, both heads and intakes badly corroded and need to be replaced. I'm going to sit on it and save up for repower. Not worth it to fix IMO.

Hey Jeff1000man, What kind of RPM and boost#'s were you running with the Ohio crankshaft 540's?

The guy that has them has pretty mild roller cams, merlin heads, and uses 250 blowers.

They don't make any boost until around 3500. they make around 4.5 lbs @ 5000.

If I had one, I would be running 7-8 lbs and 5500 rpms.

Ateco built my twin 540's four years ago and I haven't had one problem with them. They run hard and fast. I've lived on the chain for many years and have always heard good things about Ateco. The fastest engines on the chain were built at Ateco. I'd give him a call before making a final decision.

Hey guys, Thanks for all the feedback. I think its a toss up between Brad Smith and Ateco. I have heard nothing but good things about both shops. Again Thanks, Your input is greatly apreciated.
