Brackish Water

Question, I have a painted steel eagle trailer. Tuesday of this week I dunked the trailer in Lake Pontchartrain to test my boat. The water there is brackish, should I worry about any effect the water may have on this trailer? Thanks in advance.

Yeah and your boat too. Brackish only means there's less salt concentration. Once the water evaporates, you still have salt. It also lays inside the engine and rots any and everything susceptible to salt.

I bought a project boat off Ponchartrain about 15 years ago. The engines were eaten away inside..
