I think your comparison is not apples to apples. Probably 99% of the fastest V's are not pulling skiers, and fishing off of them and are not single engine. Just your typical Fountain Guy.:D:D:D

I can really appreciate GT's accomplishment. Much more impressive than dedicated race boats. Not that the race boats aren't impressive.

Where I boat on lake St. Clair MI we often get flyboys in their F16's doing flyovers past our raftoffs. I'm pretty sure I get their point: "yeah, you think your boats are fast? I'm 22 and I have a machine that will smoke you all" :)

There's always someone faster. I'm just after the dubious title of "Worlds Fastest 257 Powerquest." Not sure if I get a prize for that or a dunce cap!

There is a 30' Superboat with a 1300+ hp turbine. Boat has ben out once or twice for some testing. Still a ways to go before any high speed runs, but they did 65 @ 1/4 throttle
