If Jim Lee's slowed down 12mph, and using your calculation, that means he lost nearly 200hp. There is no way in gods green earth that is possible vs. 1471. I was also told by the engine builder that everything was good. Call Joey Griffin, he did some back to back test with a 1471. 5. I through out some spec's on a motor Chief did, but I never claimed any MPH gains because thats impossible. Every boat is different. And the one in question is the one video where you see Pure Platinum pull away from the Heli like it's standing still! As I've said, I'm a power broker, thats what I do, I help get consumers power, its up to the boat builders or end users to get the boat to go faster. 6. 2600 people have not viewed this thread, it's been viewed 2600 times. You never gave me accurate data, you still left your cam duration off. As of said before, Pure Platinum has QUADS!! Repeat, QUADS, QUADS. As Bill already told you, the boat runs even better and I think we'll all see some incredible stuff @ LOTO next year. These were blowers that Bill still owned, and they threw them on before Key West. You need to hit "refresh" and you'll see that the views goes up each time you go into it. Last, I talked to the engine builder of Jim Lee's engines (Boyds in OK) and he said everybody is very happy with the 100hp they gained. And they really haven't pushed the speed yet, but it accelerates harder, gets on plane faster and pulls more prop then before. They'll have some speed numbers in December. |

Mike Kool design RPM 6500 light to 6800 boost @ 8.70% 8-10 psi boost @ 16.28% 14 advance 34 Octane 93 meth injected 118 Penis size :evilb: Classified Here's some approx. numbers for your setup, using the 305R supercharger and not knowing your cam duration, compression ratio or the state of your current supercharger (estimates with good, refreshed 1471 standard helix), your KUHL (not KOOL) carb adapter and slight adjustment to the tuning since it will be on the rich side on top: 8psi = 60hp 10psi = 80hp 14psi = 140hp (carbs are too small and IC is small, will have 2+psi above IC core and 2"+ of vacuum above SC) Also note, because of cooler air charge temps, you may be able to gain a touch more with 36-38deg's timing. You'll also have better idle quality, excellent distribution and approx. 10% better fuel economy on average. Thanks, Dustin |
