Water in the Oil
Just started the Nova today for the first time this year. Hooked it up to a hose, and the puddle that formed had a bit of a sludge on top, kind a oily. The oil on the dipstick looked perfect though after idling in the driveway for 10-15 minutes. How can I tell for sure if there is a bad seal or gasket causing this without pulling it apart. Help, it's gonna be 75 on Thursday.

Did you fog the motors when you winterized? This could just be the crap blown from the cylinders after sitting all winter. Carbon will also look real nasty on top of water.

I agree with Scott. Otherwise change the oil and filter and check for any signs of water. If none then just keep a close eye on it for the first 20hours this year. And go out Thurs and have fun!!!
