Blower motor oil temps

My Buddy is running a pair 468CI Gen IV motors. They have B&M 174 blowers, no t-stats. What kind of oil temps should he be looking for? Also, what size oil coolers would you recommend?

when i ran your same set up I would get up to 300+ on a long run if i didnt keep an eye on it. Way to hot if you ask me.

Now I have a 556 Ci and a 10/71 blower i never see highter than 230 . I am running my same cooler and oil thermostat that I ran with the 468 and the 177 .

I say run the largest cooler you can fit.

Best oil temps would be between 210 at low rpm and cruise to 220-250 at higher rpms and WOT. A standard HP500 oil cooler should be adequate.

between 190 and 220. water doesnt evaporate until it is steamed after 212. pkus having no stats tends to create condensation under the valve covers so you ususally need to get the oil to the 190-220 range.
