:Whatever:Sorry but that is not the steel one from merc racing. Steel one has a long snout were the input shaft goes into the coupler they cost $100 more, but I would rather break a drive than a coupler. Coupler goes out motor has to come out.

Merc has short and long snouts in steel.

who has the best price on the long snout merc coupler, i plan to order one this week

Pwrbt33 01-14-2009 07:19 AM

The new part # for the long nosed steel hub coupler is 861523a20 and has a list $ of $545.00. Mercury shows (1) of these in California unless someone has them on the shelf.

older thread I know , but does anybody happen to know the measurements on the short & long snout ?? Or either one of the two for that matter..

I have 2 in real good shape & I will not be needing but 1 of them so I will most likely sell the other one & I would like to make sure which ones I have..

Thanks , Scott
