Mercruiser 7.4 performance tune whats this?
 

I am looking at a boat with one of these hooked up to a Bravo3 drive and I cannot find any info on this engine package. The '95 Merc engine brochure does not list it. It is a 330 hp at the prop rating and it looks like a detuned 454 mag or possibly a 7.4 with a Merc factory high rise intake but then it would need to have the rectangle heads. Did Merc just run out of the lo pro carb intakes in anticipation of going to all efi?

They used the rectangle port intake on the peanut port heads. It was only offered with a B3 drive, the B1 used a cast iron intake. It's actually listed in Merc parts. I just rebuilt one of these for a customer.
