Gen V 525SC long blocks......
 

I am pulling the motors (Gen V 525SC's) out of my cig and using a pair of new 502 long blocks (500HP's) for a rebuild.....

the old engines, are 454 4 bolt blocks I believe..... In good running conndition, long blocks, about 480 hours on them, what are they worth?? Will be looking to sell them within the month and want an idea as to what is a fair price to ask. Thanks in advance!

Maybe a few more details about what your trying to sell?? shortblocks, longblocks, any accessories, etc.. Extra info never hurts. :)

I've PM'd with him. They are stock 525SC longblocks only. Good engines with GM forged cranks and rods and rect port heads.
I figure they are worth 4-5k if fully rebuilt depending on the parts used. My guess would be around 2k each.

Refresh my memory. Are short blocks w/out the heads and long blocks with the heads?

exactly. Longblocks have complete heads on them and shortblocks dont. Mine will just need intake manifolds and up... exhaust manifolds, valvecovers and oil pans.
