No .. 2 Motor's Will Have More Drag And Also Weigh About 1200 Lbs More Including The Drive .

i try to compare the power of my boat (Baja 32 with 2 x stock 454 mags) with others with just one engine. mine have a little more than 700 hp and total weight of ~6000 lbs.

Could you get a 32' Baja on plane with one engine:eek:

I would think with 800HP it would not have an issue. Here is a link to a 32' Sunsation making 875HP and it seems to fly with only one motor where two is the norm.

I've drove a customers 32 Sunsation down at LOTO that just has a single 496, all stock and it runds just fine. Gets on plane easy and runs low to mid 60's.

I dont think they did but anything could be modified.

A 32 Baja with twin 454's weighs a lot more than 6000#. Its closer to 8000#.

In boats that can be equipped with either a single or twins, a single with 800 hp will run faster than 2 400hp engines.

Using a 28 Pantera as an example. Twin 502/415hp run about 80mph. A single 700hp will put the boat over 80mph. The single will break drives a lot easier.
