Thats the centerline,,on your boat it should be 36 inches and they are made for 36 inches ,,,so they should fit. Its not that they are 36 wide its the centerline width !!!!! Powerplays have 34 and staggert,,well thats diffrent anyways. If they are made for a 36 centerline then they fit inbetwen 36 inches. Go messure the drives !!! |

The low cost choice is buy other headers that fit. Many 8' beam vee's have the drive train on a 34" centerline. CMI E-tops or Sport Tubes should fit.

if your lake boating only, you can use lightning will be ok, but if you plan on saltwater running stay with stainless marine gen 2 or a little extra money gen 3s . they last for years. and the gen 3s are just as good as any stainless steel header but they don't crack and rust out:rolleyes:.I have gen 2s and looked at used ss headers and they have already been fixed or sold as is as in one case the guy bought them and they leaked:eek. and for 500 more he could have had new SMs. If you need 2 sets I am working on a best price deallet me know.

I have 35" centers and have plenty of room with my CMI E tops.

Lightning Marine makes an excellent product, priced well in line with other large ID tube offerings. Had them on a Jet boat of mine and they worked out great. I was disappointed with the time it took them to come out with the small block headers so I went with Imcos- manifold type system. Uncle Dave |
