Question, drive Temp senders/Gauges

Has anyone added drive temp senders to Bravo drives?
Wondering how difficult or possible this is?
Also what type of cost expectations should I have?

thanks Guys and Ladies for any input.

I was thinking about adding drive temp gauges a couple years ago but not even mercury could tell me what the temp should be. I guess if you add them get a temp and make sure the temp doesnt get much higher you'll be okay. The cost if I remember was about 300 per motor from Eddie Marine. Good luck. Spine Tickler

Livorsi Marine,(847)548-5900, has a nice set-up. The list price is about $225.00 per drive. They are fairly easy to install, drilling a couple of holes and running the wires etc. BTW Merc. has no idea what temp. their drives are running at, but they usually admit that 300 is flirting with disaster. Gear oils start to burn at between 240 and 260 degrees.

Thanks Guys, I'll call Livorsi see what they have. My transmissions on the Petes with the Big Caterpillars in front of them will climb up to 260 but they have Synthetic in them and have large air flow coolers. But i would think 200* would be pretty warm in the water. Thanks Again Paul and S.P.
