setting up valvetrain
 

i have all my parts in. i just installed my heads. i have hydraulic roller lifters, the correct pushrods, and roller rockers. the engine has not been primed and the lifters have not been pumped up. i have conflicting tips from people. one person said i should tighten the rocker arm till 0 lash then crank it one half turn.. then someone else said i have to adjust it warm.

I would suggest checking your pushrod length also.

And last degree in the cam, if you haven't.

thank you so much that article helped alot. just what i needed. you know when you are assemebling this stuff you can loose sleep if you are not 100% sure of yourself.
