holley carburetor float ???
 

I purchased a older marine holley carb, it has plastic floats is this a problem or should they be replaced. Does anyone know when holley changed to copper floats, just wondering how old this carb can be. The box is white with a sky blue holley logo. peace.

it's the other way around, they changed to the foam floats many years ago....have not seem the metal ones in years...Rob

I have a brand new holley 800 and it has brass floats, the older 850 marine carb I have has white plastic floats like something you see in a lawn mower.

I just got a brand new dominator and it had the foam...and thats all I've seen for years in them....no idea why you have a brass pair...
