Mecruiser/ auto water pump???

Hello to All,
Starting to get things together ran into some problems, I need to replace the engine water pump it is a closed cooling system on a 98 Gen6 502 does anyone know if a automotive water pump will work and have the make and part number. Thanks

An automotive one should be fine with closed cooling. You just need to take yours in to parts place like Napa. They only made a few of different ones for BBC's.

Are the Gen6 diffrent then a Gen5 ? If not I have one thats like new if your interested
