tips on the best engine mountings... 20 cig 383/385hp and volvo 280 am repowering and cleaning the engine comp. whats the best way to go ....

Use a plate mount, like on a Merc HP engine. It helps tie the whole boat together. I have a engine alignment tool for that Volvo in case you need it. I think it is pretty rare, was custom made back in the 70's.
