525sc Blower Pulley???

Hey Anyone Know Anybody Making A Upper Pulley Smaller Than 2 7/8" With Merc. Spline Rather Than Keyway Style For A 525sc 177 Blower?

Teague maybe???? But going smaller will only make more heat and push the blower beyond it recommended max of 13000rpms.

I Have Superchillers, I Thought 14,000 Rpms Was Limit? Thanks For The Reply!

The easiest way to accomplish this is to get the shaft with the keyway and use the "automotive pulleys". I believe that the 2.85" splined pulleys are the smallest that were made by non-merc sources. I would think twice about spinning that little blower too hard, if it self destructs then you will have a whole new set of problems. I run a 2.85" upper and a 7" lower and I see a little over 6 psi boost (below the chiller) at WOT which is about 5000 rpms with my current prop. I'm good with that for now.

How about Dustin @ Whipple , he can remap the ECM also.

No ECM on a 525SC.

Old Navy's right, u have to buy the new shaft and use the automotive pulleys. Merc doesn't make the parts anymore. I went through this on my 31 Sonic. I couldn't even find a used stock pulley. I'm lucky to have a tool and die maker as a good friend. He made the shaft and pulley. BTW- I had him take 3/8 off the diameter and ran 9 pounds on that 177. It was fine.

I went with the next size smaller automotive pulley and it only picked up 1-2 mph...made a ton more noise/whine and burned a lot more fuel, not worth it.
