I have the small round livorsi gps antenna for my speedo.
I understand there is a battery in there that can go bad?

Does anyone know how to get to it or change it? Does it have to go back to Livorsi or can a regular fella do it?

i thought it had to go back to livorsi. could be wrong, just remember it from reading another post.

Sorry to hijack but a related issue. My Livorsi speedo goes through its startup routine, 0 deg, 270 deg, 180 deg, to 0 mph then after a few seconds goes to 18 mph and will not move. Any ideas?? Is it the battery deal???

Thunder try leaving the GPS on overnite and it will put some juice in the Battery whether it holds it for the season is another story ..If she charges overnite and does'nt go to 18mph anymore may want to send it in for a quick battery change and its on to the next problem good luck

Just like stated above, I would try and charge it for 48 hours before sending it in. Get some alligator clips and connect the positive and negative to a battery and let it sit for a while then give it a try. This seems to be the solution for the common issue.

Thanks everyone, I tlked to someone at Livorsi and he said they change them out becasue they are soldered in. He said that when it goes through its sweep it is supposed to go back to zero. If after it goes to zero for a few seconds it goes to the 9:00 position, that is generally the battery. Avg. life expectancy on a battery they says is about 5 years. Mine is overdue! Thanks again fellas!
