Deck height discussion.
Take a look at the following blocks and deck heights. What is better for what applications in your opinion.
8B 2000A*: 4.480 or 4.590 Bore / Standard Cam Location / 9.800 or 10.200 Deck Height 8B 2000C*: 4.480 or 4.590 Bore / Raised Cam Location / 9.800, 10.200, or 10.700 Deck Height 8B 2100C*: 4.480 or 4.590 Bore / Raised Cam Location / 11.100 or 11.200 Deck Height 8B 2200C*: 4.480 or 4.590 Bore / Raised Cam Location / 11.500 or 11.625 Deck Height |

More bore more Power,, Taller deck less rod angle more safe RPMS less side load.. Just depends on how much HP and torque at a giving RPM...

The Big M block is limited at 10.2? |
More info would help. What bore and stroke? Cam diameter and lift? Cubic inch? Rod length? Peak RPM? NA or blown?
