Electric power steering
 

Anybody ever investigated using electric power steering in a boat? I did some quick searches and there are a few different kinds of electric power steering pumps but still seems like a rare item. I found one of a mid 90's mr2 but it has a computer and everything to control the pump. Just trying to find a way to build in steering redundancy when only one engine has a power steering pump.
