rpm
i have a 87 pachanga and just put new props on from bblade but need to get my rpms up by 3 or 4 hundred rpms,whats the best way.i dont really want to rework the props they are fine the way they are. thanks mike

If you all ready do not have it, just installing thru transom exhaust to stock manifolds could get you around 150 rpms on the top end.

You only have 2 choices. Rework the props or add HP.

what about intake or exhaust will that gain me antything ?

Some may disagree however I always use to knife the inside of the cutting edge of the props. This was always good for 150 to 200 RPM. I noticed you didn't really want to recup your props and can understand that. If you don't want to spend money on engine mods then try this. The only down fall to this is that they will nick easier when you hit something in shallow water. The only change I have noticed after doing this is top end RPM. You can even use a file if you have limited resources.
