496 cam question???

Hey guys I need some help,? I don't know if I have read it on here before or if I was sniffing too many gelcoat fumes. BUT, Does anyone know if you can change out the cam in a 8.1/496 without taking the intake off.? Like I said I could of had some wild hair brain dream???? I don't know....THANKS:grinser010:
