sbc GM Hot Cam
Has anyone used the Gm Hot cam in there small block. I'm concerned about reversion with stock exhaust manifolds. It has Corsa captians call with side exhaust in a 1987 Wellcraft 222 Elite.

I'm thinking some of the specs you listed are wrong. The GM Hyd Roller SBC Hot Cam is 218/228 @ .050" not 210/228.
As to reversion on stock manifolds? More than likely you will have a little. There are alot of factors that contribute to reversion. The CC might hurt or it might help having the longer side exhaust vs straight out the back. I ran a modified Comp XM276HR a few years back in a 355 SBC. It was a 226/230 .537/.511 112+2. I had a very small amount of reversion in the center runners of the exhaust manifolds. I am running FastGlass Stainless risers. I had to weld on 16" inner extensions to prevent reversion. Now on my 385ci with a 234/240 .580/.568 112+4 I have 22" extensions where the water does not mix until in the tip. |
You are correct about the specs. I got them from Gilbert Chevrolet web site. Thinking of going with Comp 08-416-8 marine cam. 212/218 .488/.495. Or getting a set of revolution marine manifolds.
